Artist's Description

This was taken at sunset on the corner of Noe and Market Street in the Castro District of San Francisco. The sun was beginning to drop, making it the perfect time for light and shadow to play off each.
Market street is a major transit artery for the city of San Francisco, and has carried in turn horse-drawn streetcars, cable cars, electric streetcars, electric trolleybuses, and diesel buses. Today Muni buses, trolleybuses, and heritage streetcars all can be seen in the area.
