Artist's Description

This is a pretty famous or perhaps infamous part of North Beach in San Francisco.
Kerouac once strolled down Broadway with a poem in his heart and later the Beat Museum was founded in his honor.

The Condor Club, Big Als and Roaring 20s are featured in scenes from the 1971 film Dirty Harry. For all you movie trivia fans, the first look can be seen early in the film as Chico and Harry make a right turn off Broadway onto Columbus. And then again, after Scorpio exits Roaring 20s and heads south on Broadway, Harry of course follows.
Forty plus years later the area is still thriving and is of course included in the Dirty Harry movie tour guide book.
