Description
The sun symbolize's so many aspects of our world, it's true to say it is the life giver of our planet. The broader meaning for the title "Sun Dial" is just how important the sun and its relationship to our daily life and time is.
The Aldbrough Sundial which is the sundial I used as my inspiration is in St. Bartholomew's church in Aldbrough, a small town in East Yorkshire. The circle of the dial divides the day into 8 parts, indicating that the dial was carved before the Norman Conquest.
