Queen duvet cover (88" x 88") featuring the image "Kete Pa" by Kandy Hurley. Our soft microfiber duvet covers are hand sewn and include a hidden zipper for easy washing and assembly. Your selected image is printed on the top surface with a soft white surface underneath. All duvet covers are machine washable with cold water and a mild detergent.

From my series Adinkra Symbols of West Africa, Kete Pa represents a good marriage, good relationship or a good bed.
The Adinkra are visual symbols, originally created by the Akan. The symbols represent concepts or aphorisms.
Adinkra symbols are used extensively in fabrics and pottery They are incorporated into walls and other architectural features.
Fabric Adinkra are often made by woodcut sign writing as well as screen printing.
While the symbols have a decorative function they also represent objects that encapsulate evocative messages that convey traditional wisdom, aspects of life or the environment.
There are many different symbols with distinct meanings.
I was the kid who loved the big box of crayons. I still get that feeling of anticipation with every new project, it's why I continue to explore art in a wide variety of mediums.
