Description
Welcome to the Hotel Oliver, located in the Historic Railroad Square district of Santa Rosa California.
This small but historic area in Santa Rosa embraces the turn of the 20th century era.
The Hotel Oliver was built in1910 during the period of rebuilding after the 1906 earthquake which pretty much leveled the area.
Built in the Mission Revival Style using clinker bricks which are bricks that have been fired at a very high temperature and were popular a century ago. The name clinker comes from the sound that is made as the bricks are hammered into place.
Today if you visit the Historical Railroad District you will find restaurants catering to a wide variety of cuisines, one of a kind shops along with thrift and vintage stores too.
The images are available in a variety of formats and sizes.
I welcome your visits as well, as your comments, pins and tweets.
Come back often as new work is added frequently.
Thank you for visiting.
