Artist's Description

Streamline Moderne, it seems to be a pleasant collision between Art Deco and Modern. Perfect digs for a high tech city like San Francisco.
Streamline Moderne, or Art Moderne, was a late type of the Art Deco architecture and design that emerged in the 1930s. Its architectural style emphasized curving forms, long horizontal lines, and sometimes nautical elements. In tract development, elements of the style were frequently used as a variation in postwar row housing in San Francisco's Sunset District. The Sunset District is one of my favorite areas in the Bay area.
This piece and all other works in the galleries represent Art with a global flair.
Its an eclectic mixture of styles and topics, influenced by a variety of world cultures. When we surround ourselves with artwork our lives are enriched.
Like good books they linger in our being and help shape who we are and how we view the world.
Having a favorite piece of art or two around to view on a regular basis is goo...
