Artist's Description

Digital art work depicting a play of light and shadows through the avenue of trees.
The original photograph is from a local walnut orchard in Lake County California which has many orchards.

Walnuts have a rich history dating back thousands of years.
Walnuts are the oldest tree food known to man, dating back to 7000 B.C.
A walnut is an edible seed of the Persian or English walnut.Walnuts are late to grow leaves, typically not until more than halfway through the spring.
They also secrete chemicals into the soil to prevent competing vegetation from growing, because of this, flowers or vegetable gardens should not be planted too close to them.
Also as a word of caution, the husks of walnuts contain a juice that will readily stain anything it comes into contact with.
